Your Onboarding Is Failing You: The Truth About Your First 90 Days

Introduction  Starting a new job usually comes with excitement and high expectations. You receive your welcome email, complete paperwork, attend orientation sessions, get access to company systems, and meet your new colleagues. Everything may appear organized, but there is often a gap between being introduced to a company and actually becoming successful within it. There is a good chance your onboarding is failing you, and it may not be your fault. Many organizations focus their onboarding on policies, procedures, training sessions, and administrative requirements. These things are important, but they do not always prepare a new employee to perform effectively. Knowing how a process works is different from understanding how an organization actually operates.  Onboarding Teaches Processes, But Performance Requires More  After leading large supply chain and logistics operations across warehouses, export networks, and global teams, I have seen this situation repeatedly. 10 Good Habits to Have in Life to Be More Successful

10 Good Habits to Have in Life to Be More Successful

INTRODUCTION

Behaviours and patterns that we showcase by default are known as Habits. These unconscious daily habits create room for our brain to perform more advanced activities like analysis and problem-solving. Habits can be classified into three types:
• Habits that don’t get noticed as they have become a major part of our routine life, such as taking shower or getting dressed.
• Good habits like exercising, reading books, and eating healthy.
• Bad Habits like overeating, procrastinating, smoking, etc.

10 GOOD HABITS TO HAVE IN LIFE TO BE MORE SUCCESSFUL

1. Begin Day with Meditation
Practicing mindful meditation early in the morning every day helps us to place ourselves in the present moment and remain calm in different stressful and challenging situations during our day.
2. Always be Grateful for What We Have
Gratitude is a time-tested pathway to happiness, health, and success and it redirects our focus to what we have instead of what we lack. We should write a list of things we are grateful for each day in our gratitude journal, or at least say one thing that we are grateful for when we sit down for a family time.
3. Smile
According to research, we set a pace for living a happier life when we smile. We find spiritual, emotional, and mental peace of mind with developing this habit of smiling. When we smile, there is the release of molecules in our brain that helps in fighting stress. The state of our mind is determined by the physiological state of our body. We feel a new level of excitement and vibrancy when we adjust ourselves by putting on a smile.
Chanakya Quotes you should know before you get old:
4. Eat a Healthy Breakfast
Starting your day with a healthy breakfast forms a crucial part of your life. We need to “break our fast” with healthy foods every morning so we don’t break down during the day. ‘Eating a healthy breakfast habit’ is not difficult to form if we regularly go out every morning
5. Exercise Daily
We should exercise our bodies and muscles on a daily basis. We need to engage ourselves in activities that oxygenate our blood and make our body release endorphins, for at least 15 minutes every day.
6. Manage Your Time
Our achievements in life are majorly impacted by our art of managing time effectively. We all have the same 24 hours, yet some of us are successful and some of us are not. Our potential to succeed in life is determined by how we leverage our time and separates ourselves from the rest of the world.
7. Set Daily Goals with Intentions
Everyone has goals, most people focus on long-term goals. Our long-term goals may offer us direction, in reality, it’s our short-term goals that are essential for your success. When we finish our short-term goals milestones daily, we become fired up ready to take on bigger challenges every day.
8. Seek Inspiration
We cannot remain inspired and feel good about our goals for a long time without external help. Sometimes, when things are not working out as planned, we might feel discouraged and unmotivated. A practical solution to stay on top of the situation is to inspire ourselves every morning by watching the story of great leaders and motivational videos.

9. Save Steadily and Invest with Prudence
Good habits also include saving and investing. Most of the time, we overlook the importance of saving for the future when we are living in the present moment. It is not enough to save only; we must invest our funds and be wise with them. We should ensure that we save at least six months in our emergency account so we can be prepared for any future emergency.
10. Budget and Track Your Spending
Benjamin Franklin said, “A small leak sinks a great ship” while warning us to take care of our little expenses. These little expenses always add up when we fail to budget. Budgeting is a good habit that can impact our financial life significantly. It helps us keep track of money spent on extravagant lifestyles that can be saved and invested for good.

CONCLUSION

We should start developing these above-explained good habits to become more successful as we go through the journey of our life. The quicker we cultivate these good habits, the faster we will achieve our goals in our life. Good habits bring us closer to living our best life and are fundamentally basic to becoming happy and successful. While most of us focus on bad habits to break, it is more important to focus on cultivating good habits in our daily routine.

Why Greek Athletes Imagined Losing Before They Won

Introduction Fear has stopped more dreams than failure ever has. Many people believe they struggle because they lack talent, resources, intelligence, or opportunity. In reality, the biggest obstacle is often much simpler: fear. Fear of failure. Fear of rejection. Fear of embarrassment. Fear of not being good enough. These fears silently influence decisions every day. They prevent people from speaking up in meetings, starting businesses, applying for promotions, pursuing relationships, or taking risks that could transform their lives. What is fascinating is that thousands of years ago, long before psychology textbooks and neuroscience laboratories existed, ancient Greek athletes had already discovered a powerful method for dealing with fear. Instead of trying to avoid failure, they mentally embraced it. This practice, known as prokatalepsis , was a form of mental preparation that helped athletes free themselves from the emotional grip of fear and perform at their highest level. Today, m...
