The Power of Likeability: Why People Remember How You Make Them Feel

Introduction Have you ever noticed how some people walk into a room and instantly become likeable? They don’t need to prove anything. They don’t try too hard. Yet, people naturally feel comfortable around them.   It’s not because of their title, achievements, or status. It’s because of how they make others feel.   Likeability is often misunderstood as charisma or natural charm. In reality, it is not something you are born with. It is a set of behaviors, habits, and small actions that create a strong emotional impact on others.   In both personal and professional life, this is one of the most underrated success skills. People may forget what you said or what you did, but they rarely forget how you made them feel. And that feeling often determines whether they trust you, respect you, or want to work with you.   The Power of Remembering Names One of the simplest yet most powerful habits of likeable people is remembering and using names. A person’s na...

Positive aspects of Lockdown

Introduction We all are stuck at our houses and waiting for two things a) completion of lockdown, b) vaccine of Coronavirus. But most of us are consuming non-stop news bulletins and counting the Worldwide death toll of the Corona Virus. Researchers have found that stress has a psychosomatic impact on us. We are consuming so many negative things throughout the day and hoping for a positive outcome but it's impossible. The capacity of our mind is very high as compared to our body. We need to keep ourselves positive in these difficult days. It is a fact that negative thinking reduces our immunity and positive thinking boosts our immunity. Corona will definitely go within one or two months' timespan but just think what we will tell our future generations. Do we tell them that we were in depression during Corona Scare ? or we will tell that we emanated positivity and motivated our family members to fight Corona during the lockdown. We have to understand that Corona Virus canno...

Extreme Motivation: Life of Theodore Roosevelt

Great people are not born but they make their life great. Similarly many times we also get a chance to prove ourselves but we step back and think we are not capable enough. We must remember here that great people also were like us but they decided to take their life in their hands and had given their best. Today we will read more about the youngest ever president of the US, a recipient of Medal of Honour and a winner of Nobel Peace Prize. He had written more than 30 books during his life. He was also America’s first brown belt in judo. He’s none other than Mr. Theodore Roosevelt. Let’s read more about his inspirational life and how he had achieved so much. He was born on October 27, 1858, and since childhood, he was very weak and never went to school due to medical problems and hence he had done homeschooling. Benefits of smoking (Power of Habits)

Let us first understand the meaning of Habit according to Oxford Dictionary: a) settled or regular tendency, b) Practice that is hard to give up, c) mental constitution or attitude. Its also said that first, we make habits and then habits make us. Habits are like soft and cozy beds- easy to get in but difficult to get out. Let us go through some of the shocking statistics: 1 Billion people used to smoke, Tobacco kills 10,000 people per day across the globe and every cigarette contains 401 poisons and 43 cancer-causing chemicals. But there are two benefits of smoking: 1) Thieves cannot enter into the house of a smoker because the whole night he used to cough and his "khi khi" will keep thieves away. 2) He will never grow old as he will lose 22 years of his life because of smoking. Let us understand the cycle of habit formation: first tempting objects and our association impact our thoughts and desires. Our thoughts and desires impact our action, our action leads to d...

Five qualities of dogs

Do you know why dogs are one of the best pets in the world? There are some very important qualities that humans lack nowadays but those qualities are shown by dogs. We must always strive to develop these qualities in us. Let us understand those qualities and try to inculcate these essential qualities in us. 1. Loyalty: This is the most popular quality of dogs. You can also observe this quality yourself. I have observed this quality and can say that this species is the most loyal among all animals. As we are becoming more and more advanced, this particular character is getting extinct from our behavior. People used to respect seniors (Professors/Bosses) in their presence but used to say bad things about them from behind. One of my friends has a dog and he is with this dog for the last 2 years. My friend used to return home by 8 pm daily and that dog used to wait for its owner eagerly. That dog used to eat only when its owner returns home. Dogs are also used in wars and battles and t...

To be Problem oriented or Solution oriented...

A person was driving his car during the afternoon. He was far away from his town and going to another town for a meeting. While driving over a bridge he felt that something is wrong with his car and he is sure that one of the tires must get punctured. He came out of his car and observed that the rear tire of the right side got punctured. He got really annoyed and started hitting the road by his foot as he has to change a tire in scorching sun heat. So he has taken out car jack and removed all four bolts of the tire and kept them nearby. Now he started pulling the tire with a force and while doing so his foot hit the bolts and all of the bolts dropped into the river. He becomes saddened now as there are no chances of getting the mechanic and started cursing himself. More than 2 hours passed but no one came, suddenly he saw a farmer was coming from somewhere. The person was sure that a farmer cannot help him. Farmer asked him how he can help him. The person becomes annoyed and to...

Go through life or grow through life

Eric Butterworth once said, "Don’t go through life, grow through life". Life long learning is a very important thing. Learning from our mistakes and becoming a better person day by day is very essential. The most hardworking 7 letter word is "Success". To get success we need tremendous hard work, tremendous consistency and tremendous patience. We can learn from the birth of baby Giraffe. When a baby giraffe born, mother Giraffe position herself just on top of him and give him a hard kick. A baby Giraffe who just came into the world not able to understand what's happening but while he is thinking what's happening mother Giraffe gives him another hard kick. He then understands that if he will not stand then this sequence of kicks will continue. So he stands up and while he tries to get up he gets another kick so he starts running and then mother Giraffe come to him and start loving him. This happens because mother giraffe knows that baby giraffe'...
