Agastya and the Vindhya Mountains: A Lesson in Influence and Leadership

Introduction Long ago, the Vindhya mountains began growing taller and taller every day. They became so huge that they even threatened to overshadow the mighty Himalayas and block the sun’s path across the sky. The cosmic gods grew worried. If the mountains kept growing, they could disrupt the balance of the entire universe. But the gods couldn’t stop them. The Vindhyas refused to listen to anyone. They wouldn’t bow to authority or accept any requests; they simply kept rising, proud and powerful. Now, the one person the Vindhyas deeply respected was their guru, the sage Agastya. He was their teacher and held in high reverence. So, the gods turned to Agastya and asked for his help. Agastya visited the mountains. The moment the Vindhyas saw him, they humbly bowed down to greet him, full of admiration. Don’t go through life, grow through life
Eric Butterworth once said, "Don’t go through life, grow through life".
Life long learning is a very important thing. Learning from our mistakes and becoming a better person day by day is very essential.
The most hardworking 7 letter word is "Success". To get success we need tremendous hard work, tremendous consistency and tremendous patience. We can learn from the birth of baby Giraffe. When a baby giraffe born, mother Giraffe position herself just on top of him and give him a hard kick. A baby Giraffe who just came into the world not able to understand what's happening but while he is thinking what's happening mother Giraffe gives him another hard kick. He then understands that if he will not stand then this sequence of kicks will continue. So he stands up and while he tries to get up he gets another kick so he starts running and then mother Giraffe come to him and start loving him. This happens because mother giraffe knows that baby giraffe's flesh is very soft and supple, Hyenas in jungle know that and mother can't be with a baby every time. Our life is also like mother giraffe it kicks us again and again but we must get up and learn from our previous failures.

It's a famous video of a very successful marshmallow test done in the US in the early 60s. Here Kindergarten students were told that if they will wait then they get another marshmallow. They can eat it now but then they will not get another one. The children who waited are now directors of Multi-billion dollar companies. But children who do not wait are now mediocre employees of different companies. So in this marshmallow test, it was proved that people who have the patience to wait, achieve success. So it's not only determination but its patience which decides our success in life.
So just work patiently towards your goal and learn from your previous mistakes and definitely, you will grow through life.
