Arjuna, Karna, and the Gold That Couldn’t Be Given

Introduction In the heart of an ancient Indian epic, the noble warrior Arjuna, accompanied by his divine charioteer Krishna, raised a question that had long lingered in his mind: “Who is the noblest giver in the land?” Without pause, Krishna named Karna—Arjuna’s rival on the battlefield. The answer struck Arjuna like a silent blow. Though he said nothing, his pride bristled. Could it be true that his rival surpassed him not only in valor, but in generosity, too? Krishna, as always, sensed Arjuna’s inner turmoil. Days passed. Then one evening, as they rode across the horizon, Krishna pointed to two distant mountains, their peaks shimmering in the golden light of dusk. Slowly, they transformed—solid gold from base to crest. “Arjuna,” Krishna said, “you must distribute these two mountains of gold to the poor villagers below. Do not stop until you have given away every last pebble.” Arjuna’s Effort Driven by the desire to outshine Karna and prove his worth, Arjuna gathered the villagers an...

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra

The Seven Spiritual Laws Of Success by Deepak Chopra
Introduction

There are various definitions of success and therefore, there are many principles given by people to attain success. Deepak Chopra has given the seven spiritual laws of success in his book that we can apply to attain any goal. These laws can be applied to any aspect of life including success. Nature uses the same principles to create everything that we can see, smell, hear, taste, or touch in material existence.

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success

Law 1: The Law of Pure Potentiality
The first law of the seven spiritual laws of success is the Law of Pure Potentiality. The ability to fulfill any dream lies in knowing our essential nature and knowing who we are. We are the eternal possibility with an immeasurable potential of all that was there, is there, and will be there. One can develop true potentiality and access the first law through Silence, Meditation, and Non-judgment.
Law 2: The law of Giving
The second law of the seven spiritual laws of success is the Law of Giving. As the universe operates through the dynamic exchange, it can also be called the Law of Giving and Receiving. To put the Law of Giving into motion, you need to give something to people whenever you encounter anyone. The most powerful forms of giving are non-materialistic things like a flower, a compliment, or a prayer.

Law 3: The Law of Karma or Cause and Effect
The third law of the seven spiritual laws of success is the Law of Karma. Every action has its consequences. By becoming consciously aware of the choices that we make every moment we can understand and use the karmic law. We are infinite choice-makers but give predictable outcomes on being triggered by people and circumstances due to our conditioned reflexes.
Law 4: The Law of Least Effort
The fourth law of the seven spiritual laws of success is the Law of Least Effort. It says that your energy multiplies and gets accumulated if your actions are motivated by love. The surplus energy gathered can be used to create anything that you want, including unlimited wealth. The three ways to put the law of least effort into action by Acceptance, Taking Responsibility, and Defenselessness.
Law 5: The Law of Intention and Desire
The fifth law given by Deepak Chopra is the Law of Intention and Desire. It states that the quantum field is of pure consciousness or pure potentiality according to which there is nothing other than energy and information that exists everywhere in nature. Attention energizes, that is, when you put your attention on something, it will grow stronger but intention triggers the transformation of energy and information.
Law 6: The Law of Detachment
The sixth law given by Deepak Chopra is the law of detachment. It states that the wisdom of uncertainty lies in detachment. Due to this, there lies freedom from our past. When we are willing to step into the unknown, we surrender ourselves to the creative mind. This law suggests that you need to give up your attachment to the result if you want to create your desire or acquire anything in the physical universe.
Holding on to anything is like holding on to your breath. Yo
Law 7: The Law of Dharma or Purpose in Life
The seventh law of the seven spiritual laws of success is the Law of Dharma. It suggests that each one of us has a unique talent and a special purpose in life. When we combine this talent with service to others, we gain the experience of the goal of all goals, that is, ecstasy and joy of our spirit. The 3 components of the Law of Dharma are Discover our true self, Your Unique Talent, and Service to Humanity.

Conclusion

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success given by Deepak Chopra are once understood, and implemented, can bring us happiness, joy, and success in all aspects of our lives. These laws suggest to us the true laws of nature and spirituality which leads to the creation of our desires with contentment and inspires us to walk on the path that leads to our real goals in life.
