Early Life and a meeting with the Monk
Jay Shetty was born on 6 Sept 1987 to an Indian family in London. He was an introvert boy and his schoolmates used to bully him due to his fatty shape. He got the habit of taking drugs during his schooling and got suspended multiple times from school. He took admission at Cass Business School after his schooling. He does not have clarity of goals in his life till this stage. One day a monk visited his college and Jay's friends told him to attend the session. Jay attended the session and his eyes became wide opened after observing the aura of the monk. He became speechless after listening about selflessness, service & kindness and he got more clarity about his goal of life. After completing graduation, Jay went to India at the age of 22 to further gain knowledge about the real purpose of life. 

Life in India

He accepted the life of a monk in India and spent his life in celibacy. He used to sleep on a bare floor during this phase. He started spending Fifty percent of his time to gain knowledge about ancient Indian wisdom and the rest of the fifty percent in helping others. He gained this knowledge of Vedic Shastra for 3 years and went back to England to further disseminate his learnings.

Social Fame 

He arrived in England with a loan of 25000 USD and immediately started gaining knowledge about the latest technologies and gadgets. He spoke to his college friends during this phase and all of them were in deep stress just because of their hectic corporate lives.
