Introduction The story of Nachiketa from the Katha Upanishad is one of the most profound lessons in focus, sincerity, and determination. Though deeply spiritual, its relevance extends far beyond — offering timeless wisdom for leaders, professionals, and anyone navigating today’s fast-paced corporate world. Nachiketa was a young boy whose father once undertook a yagna (sacred ritual) where everything one owned was to be given away in charity for spiritual merit. After working as a news anchor for 3 years, she was hired as a full-time anchor in WLAC TV where she had become the youngest news anchor and first black anchor in the history of that media company. After completing her graduation, she moved to Baltimore where she joined a television company as a news reporter but shortly she was knocked out of the program. Its rightly said that sometimes you have to move two-step backward to move at a very high speed in a forward direction.
