The Empty Boat and Young Monk

Introduction A long time ago, a young Zen monk lived in a little monastery in the forest by a small lake. The monastery was occupied by a few older monks, but the remainder were beginners who still needed to learn. The monks had numerous tasks at the monastery, but one of the most essential was their daily routine, which required them to sit down, close their eyes, and meditate. The monk struggled to focus during his meditation practice for several reasons, which irritated him. After that, I concentrated in quiet for hours at a time. After each meditation, they were to report back to their mentor on their development.  Anger of a Young Monk When the young monk reported his progress, or lack thereof, to his mentor, the senior monk asked him a simple question with a hidden lesson: "Do you know what is making you angry?" The young monk responded, "Well, normally, as soon as I close my eyes and begin to meditate, someone moves around and I lose focus. I am angry when someone

3. Constraints
The third C of the 7 C’s of Success given by Brian Tracy is Constraints. He says that there will always be a constraint or limiting factor between you and your goals. You need to identify these chokepoints and double the time that you spend in solving them as this will determine that how fast you’ll be able to get to where you want to be. The faster you remove these constraints, the faster you’ll be able to achieve your goals.
4. Concentration
According to Brian Tracy, the fourth C of the 7 C’s of Success is Concentration. It is the ability to focus on one thing at a time. You need to identify the most important things that you have to do and do them first. When you do that, at least you get the most important things done even if distractions get in the way. An essential prerequisite for success is your ability to concentrate single-mindedly on the most important thing and stay working on it until it is complete. If you do not have the ability to practice sustained concentration on a single goal or task, that is, in a single direction, there is no success possible.
5. Creativity
The fifth C of the 7 C’s of success given by Brian Tracy is Creativity. Creativity here includes new ideas and innovation which are the essence of a successful business and anything that you do to achieve great success. For that reason, you need to fill your life with ideas from different sources. Creativity is required to be exercised like a muscle because if you don't use it, you'll eventually lose it. Your ability to solve the inevitable problems is the essence of creativity. Almost everyone has the potential. It’s just that, you need to unleash your creativity and focus it on removing obstacles, solving problems, and achieving your goals.
You have to put in many, many, many tiny efforts that nobody sees or appreciates before you achieve anything worthwhile. – Brian Tracy
6. Courage
According to Brian Tracy, the sixth C of the 7 C’s of success is Courage. You need Courage mainly to Begin and to Continue. What makes the difference is the courage to take the ‘first step’. Most of the people never have sufficient courage to launch a new business or do something extraordinary. Then, the second step is the courage to continue and never give up. You will eventually achieve your goals and be successful if you have the courage to endure and to hang in there persisting in the face of all adversity until you finally succeed.
7. Continuous Learning
The seventh C of the 7 C’s of success given by Brian Tracy is Continuous Learning. Every successful entrepreneur reads books on a daily basis. They keep enhancing their knowledge by reading these books going through websites, listening to podcasts, etc. You should also read at least one self-help or business book that will keep you miles ahead of the competition. Also, you must keep asking quality questions to get quality answers otherwise your growth will slow down. Also, manage your time in such a way that you spend a minimum of 30 minutes a day exploring and going through websites as by this you can keep yourself updated about recent advancements and technology.
Summary
The above-mentioned 7 C’s of Success given by Brian Tracy are key elements that help you go all the way in your success journey and help you achieve your goals. These 7 C’s of Success are not only for the entrepreneurs but also for all others who want to reach the top. All you need to do is to go through them and make them a part of your life by applying them in your life situations.
