Elephant sketch
Once the employees of the King complained, " O my king, we are actually working so hard for you but you are paying huge salary to this minister who used to sit here all day, why are you doing such partiality with us?"
The king ordered that all employees must assemble in his palace by evening and told his minister to arrange an Elephant. In the evening, King asked all of his workers, " Please get this elephant weighed ?". The workers took that elephant with them and tried everywhere in the market but they could not found such a large weighing scale.
Finally, they returned to the palace and handed over the elephant to the King. King asked, " What happened?".
Workers replied, "Sir, It's impossible to weigh the elephant as our country does not have such a big scale to weigh the elephant".
Then that king asked his minister, " Will you please weigh this elephant?"
Minister answered, " Sure sir" and took the elephant away.
In the evening, the minister returned to the palace and answered, " Sir, the weight of the elephant is 13,200 pounds".
All of the workers became astonished after listening to the answer of the minister and they asked, " How did you weigh this elephant so fast?... Have you found a big weighing scale ?"
On this, Minister answered, "It's very easy, I put this elephant on a ship and measured the depth of that ship with this elephant. Then after deboarding this elephant from the ship, I started putting weights on the ship till it got the same depth. That was the way by which I weighed this elephant." After listening to this answer, King explained to his workers that this is the reason why he is paying so much to this minister.
This reason is true for the high earnings of big artists like Shah Rukh Khan.

Life Lessons of Shah Rukh Khan
In one of his most famous speeches, Shah Rukh Khan explained how his father used to give him his old things on his Birthday and used to elaborate on the importance of those gifts. His father was a very well educated person but he never got a good job anywhere and all of his businesses failed miserably. His family used to face a shortage of money too often.
Chess board
1. Old Chessboard: His first gift was an old chessboard in dilapidated condition. His father used to play chess with the head priest of Hanuman Mandir every night. Important teachings ( from Chess ) that Shah Rukh Khan's father explained were:
a) Cooperation is the key to success as you cannot do anything alone and you need a team to succeed in life.
b) Sometimes you have to step back as you can't go in forward direction always.
c) Pawns play a very important role in-game. We must understand that no one is small as we cannot know when a person will become useful for us. So never underestimate anyone's potential.
d) We have to sacrifice important things in life in order to get bigger things. In Chess, many times we need to sacrifice queen in order to win the match.
2. Typewriter: His father gifted him with an old typewriter. Many of us might not know about Typewriters but these machines were used to type on pages and it was very painful to remove the errors. By this machine, his father explained to him the importance of diligence. Shah Rukh Khan suggested that we must work on our assignments with due diligence and complete those tasks without any error. He explained the importance of personal excellence by which we can create trust and a good reputation in our field.
3. Camera: His father also gifted a non-functional camera to him. From that camera, the only view can be seen from viewfinder but photos can't be taken. By this camera, his father explained that many times we love our hobbies but we cannot make our livelihood out of those hobbies. We must conserve those hobbies and can take help of those hobbies in case of stressful situations.
Innocent Kid
4. Have childlike innocence: The last thing his father told him was to have a childlike innocence. We can tackle any situation with innocence and humor. Many big problems can be easily handled with the help of humor.
Conclusion:
We will conclude today's article with one of the famous quotes of Shah Rukh Khan "Whenever I start feeling too arrogant about myself, I always take a trip to the U.S. The immigration guys kick the star out of my stardom".
