Book Review: AI for Absolute Beginners by Anne Hansen

Introduction Artificial Intelligence has become one of the most talked-about technologies of our time. Yet, for many people, AI still feels intimidating, overly technical, or simply too complicated to understand. AI for Absolute Beginners by Anne Hansen successfully bridges this gap by transforming a complex subject into an approachable learning experience designed for everyday people rather than technology experts.  Unlike many AI books that focus heavily on programming concepts or advanced technical discussions, Hansen takes a refreshingly practical approach. She assumes no prior knowledge and patiently walks readers through the fundamentals before gradually introducing real-world applications. The result is a book that feels more like learning from an encouraging mentor than reading a technical manual. One of the book's greatest strengths is its central philosophy: you don't need to become an AI expert—you simply need to learn how to use AI effectively. This mindset remov...

Introduction

Today we will know about the story of Adidas and Puma. Very few people know that Adidas and Puma were founded by two brothers, Adolf Dassler and Rudolf Dassler. We will also see how they became enemies and created the world's best shoe companies. Obviously, most of us do not know how the Dassler brothers became enemies and hence we will explore this fact today. We all know that Adidas and Puma are one of the biggest sports shoe brands in the world. Adolf Dassler founded Adidas and Rudolph Dassler founded Puma.

Initial Days

Both Adolf and Rudolph grew up in a very poor family of Germany and their father used to work in a shoe company. Their father taught them about the intricacies of the shoe business. Soon dazzler family started making home-made slippers. These slippers became quite popular in the town of Dazzler's family. After a few years, the Dazzler brothers started a sports shoe company and the company was named "The Dazzler Brothers Sports Shoe Company". This company was located in a small town of Herzogenaurach, Germany. Adolf Dazzler was a very creative guy and he was responsible for designing shoes in our Dazzler company. On the other hand, Rudolph Dazzler was a pure marketing guy and he used to look after sales of the Dazzler company.

Greatest Rivalry

In the 1936 Olympics, the legendary athlete Jesse Owens used shoes manufactured by Dazzler Brothers. He won 4 gold medals during those Olympics. After this success, the dazzler company became famous around the world. But as the company was growing, the relationship of Dazzler brothers started spoiling. The actual reason of the feud is still not clear but according to some rumors both of them loved the same girl. After World War II both brothers parted their ways and started individual companies. Adolf dazzler started Adidas, the short form of his name Adi Dassler And Rudolf started RUDA but after sometime Rudolf renamed his company as Puma. Both of these companies became rivals and most of the people in the city of Herzogenaurach used to work in either of these companies. The rivalry was so strong that even the employees were not allowed to meet with each other. Both of them never reconciled and passed away in their 70s. They were buried in the same cemetery but laid down as far as possible.
Puma vs Adidas: The Greatest Rivalry

Summary

We all know that both of the companies became the greatest brand but it was Adolf Dazzler who won the competition in terms of business. As per data, Adidas has more than 40,000 employees whereas Puma employed 10,000 people. The overall valuation of Adidas was $16.48 billion in 2019 on the other hand Puma was valued at $4 billion. Why Greek Athletes Imagined Losing Before They Won

Introduction Fear has stopped more dreams than failure ever has. Many people believe they struggle because they lack talent, resources, intelligence, or opportunity. In reality, the biggest obstacle is often much simpler: fear. Fear of failure. Fear of rejection. Fear of embarrassment. Fear of not being good enough. These fears silently influence decisions every day. They prevent people from speaking up in meetings, starting businesses, applying for promotions, pursuing relationships, or taking risks that could transform their lives. What is fascinating is that thousands of years ago, long before psychology textbooks and neuroscience laboratories existed, ancient Greek athletes had already discovered a powerful method for dealing with fear. Instead of trying to avoid failure, they mentally embraced it. This practice, known as prokatalepsis , was a form of mental preparation that helped athletes free themselves from the emotional grip of fear and perform at their highest level. Today, m...
