4. Enjoy the honey of Plateau: The journey of becoming a pro consists of periods of fame and plateaus. There is no one in this world whose graph is always on the upside. No matter how hard we try, we are bound to face these two periods. As we accomplish great things and show our talent to this world, we used to get several followers but we must keep our humility in check. The story of Memento Homo is very relevant here. In the days of Julius Caeser, whenever Roman generals used to return back to Rome after victory they used to accompany by an Auriga. Auriga used to be a slave of the Gladiator grade. Whenever Roman generals used to go for victory march and the audience started praising their bravery. The Auriga used to say “memento homo” - "remember you are the man" in the ears of Roman Generals. This is to remind him that despite all his major achievements, he is just a human being and he is not immortal. It is very easy to love our success and stop doing things that made us successful in the first place. Hence protect your novice nature and never stop learning.
