Early days
Shri Pranab Mukherjee was born in a small village of Birbhum, West Bengal. He was known with his nickname "Poltu" during his childhood. He was stubborn since childhood and gained double promotion during schooling just because of his stubbornness. He expressed his desire to change his school when he was in 2nd class as his school was in the village but he wants to study in another school located near the main city.
